Overview of Center

Our Philosophy

At Little kids Daycare Center, we promote “Learning through play and experience”.  We achieve this by concentrating on the child’s physical, social, emotional, spiritual, artistic and intellectual development.  It is important children develop a positive self-concept, and through choice activities, a sense of independence.

Staff members include qualified Early Childhood Educators and other experienced child care professionals with personal qualities of warmth, empathy and the ability to relate positively to children and parents.

By daily program planning, the teacher attends to the child’s special interests and needs, and appreciates each child’s individuality.

Staff respects and appreciates each child as an individual to allow a child to feel secure and to have positive daily experiences.

Mutual bonds of affection and respect between teachers and children help to develop a home away from home atmosphere for the children of our future.

Our Goals

  • To provide a safe, clean and healthy environment
  • To create a sharing, loving, and relaxing atmosphere
  • To program plan for all areas of development (physical, emotional, social, spiritual, artistic and intellectual).

We do not provide transportation to/from school during inclement weather when School buses have been cancelled please call the center for more information during such weather.  At these times, when we are not cancelling our transportation service, the daycare vehicles will leave earlier it is the parents responsibility to arrive on time for the transportation.

It is the parent’s responsibility to inform the daycare of all school related information. Failure to do so could result in a child not having a spot on our bus. Such information includes but is not limited to school hours/days, grade, name of teacher, child’s height and weight for booster law requirements.

Our staff of Early childhood educators and other experienced child care professionals maintain an ongoing program plan to foster physical, social, intellectual and emotional growth.  Creative independence, self-help skills and community awareness are also considered when planning monthly programming.

Parents are encouraged to talk with the staff about anything related to their child.  Parent interviews are by request.  This will provide an opportunity for both parents and staff to further discuss your child’s progress and observed needs.
